Refund & Cancellation Policy

Jashn Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: 09.08.2026 Version: 1.0

This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") governs cancellations, refunds, rescheduling requests, booking modifications, payment reversals, promotional offers, wallet credits, chargebacks, and related matters concerning bookings and services made through the Jashn mobile application, BookMyJashn website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Jashn Hall Private Limited ("Jashn", "we", "our", or "us"). This Policy forms an integral part of the applicable Jashn Terms & Conditions. This Policy applies to:

  • Venue Bookings
  • Event/Ticket Bookings
  • Vendor Services listed on the Platform

1. Important Notice

Jashn operates as a technology-enabled marketplace and facilitates transactions or connections depending on the type of service. The refund and cancellation process differs between Venue Bookings, Event/Ticket Bookings, and Vendor Services. For Venue Bookings, Jashn generally facilitates the initial token payment through the Platform. Any subsequent payment made directly to the Venue Partner, including advance payments, balance payments, or other charges, is outside Jashn's payment control and is governed by the agreement between the Customer and Venue Partner. For Event/Ticket Bookings, payments may be processed through Jashn and refunds shall be governed by the applicable Event-specific terms, this Policy, and applicable law. For Vendor Services, Jashn currently provides Vendor information and contact details but does not collect or process payments for such services. Any booking, payment, cancellation, or refund is directly between the Customer and Vendor.

2. Types of Bookings and Services

2.1 Venue Token Booking

Customers may book a Venue by paying the applicable token amount displayed on the Platform. The token amount forms part of the total Venue booking amount and is not an additional fee. The applicable token amount may depend on the booking value and the booking terms displayed at the time of booking. The selected date may remain blocked for up to three (3) calendar days (72 hours) from the date and time the request is submitted, or before the scheduled event date, whichever occurs earlier., unless otherwise specified. Failure by the Venue Partner to accept the booking within the applicable period may result in automatic cancellation.

2.2 Reservation Without Payment

Customers may be permitted to reserve or express interest in a Venue without making a payment. Such reservations:

  • Are non-binding
  • Do not guarantee Venue availability
  • Do not constitute a confirmed booking
  • May be cancelled or expire; and
  • May be superseded by another confirmed booking

No refund rights arise from an unpaid reservation.

2.3 Event/Ticket Booking

Customers may purchase Tickets for Events listed on the Platform. The refund and cancellation conditions applicable to an Event may vary depending on the Event Host and the specific Event. Customers should review the Event-specific terms, cancellation conditions, and refund information displayed before purchasing a Ticket.

2.4 Vendor Services

Jashn may display independent Vendors offering services such as:

  • Makeup
  • Decoration
  • Photography
  • Videography
  • Pandit/religious services
  • DJ and entertainment services
  • Mehendi
  • Catering; and
  • Other event-related services

Jashn currently does not collect or process payments for these Vendor Services. Customers contact Vendors directly and enter into arrangements with them independently.

3. Venue Booking Cancellation

3.1 Venue Acceptance Period

After a Customer makes a token payment through Jashn, the Venue Partner is required to accept or reject the booking within three (3) calendar days (72 hours) from the date and time the request is submitted, or before the scheduled event date, whichever occurs earlier, unless otherwise specified on the Platform. Until acceptance, the booking may remain pending.

3.2 Venue Does Not Accept the Booking

If the Venue Partner does not accept the booking within the applicable acceptance period, the booking may be automatically cancelled. Where the Customer has paid a token through Jashn, Jashn shall initiate the applicable refund of the amount paid through the Platform. No Venue cancellation charge shall ordinarily apply to such cancellation.

3.3 Venue Partner Rejects or Cancels During Acceptance Period

If the Venue Partner rejects or cancels a pending booking during the applicable acceptance period after the Customer has paid the token through Jashn, Jashn shall initiate a refund of the eligible amount paid through the Platform, subject to applicable law and any applicable payment-processing deductions.

4. Customer Cancellation of Venue Booking

Once a Venue Partner accepts a booking, cancellation by the Customer shall generally be governed by the Venue Partner's applicable cancellation and refund policy. The Venue Partner may determine its own terms relating to:

  • Cancellation charges
  • Refund eligibility
  • Cancellation deadlines
  • Advance payments
  • Non-refundable amounts
  • Date changes
  • Package changes; and
  • Other booking conditions

Accordingly, a Customer may receive:

  • A full refund
  • A partial refund
  • A refund after deduction of applicable cancellation charges; or
  • No refund,

depending on the Venue Partner's applicable policy. Jashn does not guarantee a full refund of the total Venue booking amount.

5. Payments Made Directly to Venue Partners

After a Venue booking is accepted, the Customer may make further payments directly to the Venue Partner. Such payments may include:

  • Additional advance payments
  • Balance booking amount
  • Catering charges
  • Decoration charges
  • Accommodation charges
  • Taxes
  • Security deposits, where applicable
  • Additional services; or
  • Other agreed charges

Jashn does not receive, hold, or control such payments. Any cancellation or refund relating to amounts paid directly to the Venue Partner shall be determined by the Venue Partner's applicable terms and the agreement between the Customer and Venue Partner. Jashn shall not be responsible for refunding amounts that it did not receive or process.

6. Cancellation of Customer's Programme

If a Customer's wedding, party, function, celebration, corporate event, or other programme is cancelled after the Venue booking has been accepted, the refund shall be determined according to the Venue Partner's cancellation policy. The Customer may therefore receive a full refund, partial refund, or no refund depending on the Venue Partner's applicable terms. The Customer acknowledges that Jashn's policies do not override the Venue Partner's applicable cancellation and refund terms for amounts paid directly to the Venue.

7. Venue Booking Modification

Customers may request modification of an accepted Venue booking, including:

  • Guest count
  • Date
  • Time
  • Package
  • Catering
  • Decoration
  • Accommodation
  • Other services; or
  • Other booking requirements

Modification is subject to Venue Partner approval and availability. A modification may result in an increase or decrease in the final booking value. Where the modified booking results in a lower price, the difference shall generally be settled directly between the Customer and Venue Partner. Where the modified booking results in an increased price, the Customer shall pay the additional amount as agreed with the Venue Partner. Jashn does not independently determine the revised Venue price.

8. Venue No-show

If a Customer:

  • Fails to attend the Venue
  • Fails to use the booked services
  • Abandons the booking; or
  • Otherwise fails to utilise the booking without cancelling in accordance with the

applicable terms, the booking may be treated as a No-Show. A No-Show does not automatically create a right to a refund. Any refund or adjustment shall be governed by the applicable Venue Partner policy.

  1. VENUE PARTNER CANCELLATION AFTER CONFIRMATION If a Venue Partner cancels an accepted or confirmed booking, Jashn may assist the Customer in communicating with the Venue Partner and resolving the matter. For any amount actually paid through Jashn, Jashn may initiate the applicable refund in accordance with the circumstances of the cancellation and applicable terms.

Amounts paid directly to the Venue Partner shall be subject to the Venue Partner's refund obligations and applicable law. Jashn may take appropriate action against Venue Partners for repeated or improper cancellations, including:

  • Restricting future bookings
  • Suspending listings
  • Withholding amounts payable through Jashn where legally and contractually

permitted;

  • Recovering eligible amounts
  • Delisting the Venue; or
  • Terminating the Venue Partner account

Jashn shall not ordinarily be liable for indirect losses resulting from Venue Partner cancellation, including:

  • Travel expenses
  • Accommodation expenses
  • Business losses
  • Event disruption
  • Wedding disruption
  • Emotional distress; or
  • Consequential damages,

except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Event & Ticket Cancellation

10.1 Customer Cancellation

Ticket cancellation and refund eligibility shall be governed by the cancellation and refund terms displayed for the relevant Event. Unless otherwise stated or required by applicable law, confirmed Ticket purchases may be non-refundable. Customers should review the Event-specific cancellation terms before purchasing Tickets.

10.2 Event Cancellation by Host

If an Event Host cancels an Event after Tickets have been sold, Jashn may:

  • Stop further Ticket sales
  • Notify affected Customers
  • Coordinate with the Event Host
  • Initiate eligible refunds
  • Recover eligible amounts from the Event Host where applicable; and
  • Take other reasonable measures to address the cancellation

Where a refund is applicable, Jashn shall process the eligible refund in accordance with the applicable Event terms, this Policy, and applicable law.

10.3 Event Postponement or Rescheduling

If an Event is postponed or rescheduled, the Event Host or Jashn may provide information regarding the revised:

  • Date
  • Time
  • Venue
  • Programme; or
  • Other Event details

Depending on the Event-specific terms and circumstances, Customers may receive:

  • Continued validity of their existing Ticket
  • An option to request a refund; or
  • Other options communicated by Jashn or the Event Host

10.4 Event Changes

Changes to performers, speakers, programme, venue, timing, seating arrangements, or other Event details may occur. Minor changes may not automatically create a refund entitlement. Where a material change creates a refund entitlement, the refund shall be handled in accordance with the applicable Event terms, this Policy, and applicable law.

10.5 Event No-Show

If a Customer does not attend an Event despite holding a valid Ticket, the Ticket may be treated as used or expired. Unless otherwise stated in the applicable Event terms or required by law, no refund shall ordinarily be available for a No-Show.

10.6 Invalid or Unauthorized Tickets

Refunds shall generally not be available where entry is denied because the Customer presents:

  • A duplicate Ticket
  • A forged Ticket
  • An altered Ticket
  • A previously used Ticket
  • A Ticket obtained through an unauthorized source; or
  • An otherwise invalid Ticket

This is subject to applicable law.

11. Vendor Service Cancellation & Refund

11.1 Direct Customer-Vendor Arrangement

Jashn does not currently collect or process payments for Vendor Services. Customers contact Vendors directly and independently agree upon:

  • Price
  • Availability
  • Service requirements
  • Advance payment
  • Cancellation terms
  • Refund terms
  • Rescheduling; and
  • Other conditions

11.2 Vendor-Service Refunds

Since Jashn does not collect or process payment for Vendor Services, Jashn does not control or process refunds for payments made directly to Vendors. Customers seeking a refund or cancellation must contact the respective Vendor. Any refund shall be governed by the terms agreed between the Customer and Vendor. Jashn may assist with communication or review a complaint where appropriate, but such assistance does not make Jashn responsible for the Vendor's payment or refund obligations.

12. Refund Deductions

Where a refund is otherwise eligible, Jashn may deduct or retain:

  • Applicable payment gateway or payment processing charges, to the extent actually

incurred and non-refundable;

  • Any Platform or service fee clearly disclosed to the Customer at the time of booking

and stated to be non-refundable;

  • Applicable cancellation charges, where permitted under the applicable transaction

terms; and

  • Any other amount that may lawfully be deducted under the applicable transaction

terms. Accordingly, the amount actually refunded may be less than the amount originally paid through the Platform where such deductions are applicable. Jashn shall not impose undisclosed fees or deductions contrary to applicable law.

13. Failed, Duplicate & Pending Payments

13.1 Failed Payment

If a payment fails but the Customer's account is temporarily debited, the amount may be reversed by the payment gateway or financial institution. Jashn may assist in tracking the transaction where necessary.

13.2 Duplicate Payment

If a Customer is charged more than once for the same transaction due to a payment-processing or technical error, the duplicate eligible amount may be refunded after verification. The Customer may be required to provide transaction or payment details.

13.3 Pending Payment

A payment marked as pending may require additional time for confirmation. Customers should avoid making repeated payments solely because the original transaction appears pending unless instructed by Jashn or the payment provider.

14. Refund Processing

Once a refund is approved and initiated by Jashn, the refund shall generally be processed through the original payment method or another permitted method. The actual time taken for the refund to appear in the Customer's account may depend on:

  • Payment gateway
  • Bank
  • Card issuer
  • UPI provider
  • Payment method; or
  • Other financial institution

Any timeline communicated by Jashn is an estimated processing timeline and not a guarantee of the date on which funds will appear in the Customer's account. Jashn shall not ordinarily be responsible for delays caused solely by third-party payment providers or financial institutions.

15. Exceptional Circumstances

In exceptional circumstances, including:

  • Death of an immediate family member
  • Serious medical emergency
  • Natural disaster
  • Government-imposed restriction; or
  • Other exceptional circumstances supported by reasonable evidence,

Jashn and/or the relevant Venue Partner or Event Host may, where appropriate, consider:

  • Partial refund
  • Wallet credit
  • Booking credit
  • Rescheduling; or
  • Other reasonable alternatives

Such circumstances do not create an automatic entitlement to a refund. For Venue Bookings, the Venue Partner's applicable cancellation policy shall continue to govern amounts paid directly to the Venue.

16. Force Majeure

Neither Jashn, the Customer, Venue Partner, nor Event Host shall ordinarily be liable for delays, disruptions, cancellations, or failures caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including:

  • Floods
  • Earthquakes
  • Fires
  • Storms
  • Epidemics
  • Pandemics
  • Government restrictions
  • Curfews
  • Riots
  • Terrorism
  • War
  • Civil unrest
  • Utility failures
  • Internet or telecommunications outages
  • Transportation disruptions
  • Natural disasters; and
  • Other force majeure events

Refunds, credits, rescheduling, or alternative arrangements arising from such circumstances shall be handled according to applicable law, the applicable Venue/Event policy, and the circumstances of the booking. Jashn shall not ordinarily be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from force majeure events.

17. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Customers are encouraged to contact Jashn regarding a payment or refund issue before initiating a chargeback through a bank, card issuer, UPI provider, or payment gateway where reasonably possible. If a chargeback is initiated, Jashn may:

  • Investigate the transaction
  • Request supporting information
  • Provide relevant transaction records to the payment provider
  • Contest the chargeback where appropriate; and
  • Take action permitted under applicable law and Platform policies

A chargeback does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund. Fraudulent or abusive chargeback activity may result in account restriction or termination, subject to applicable law.

18. Fraudulent or Abusive Refund Requests

Jashn may investigate refund requests where there are reasonable grounds to suspect:

  • Fraud
  • Payment fraud
  • False claims
  • Manipulation of the refund process
  • Chargeback abuse
  • Multiple or duplicate claims
  • Misuse of promotional offers; or
  • Other Platform abuse

Subject to applicable law, Jashn may:

  • Reject an ineligible refund request
  • Suspend or restrict an account
  • Withhold amounts where legally permitted
  • Reverse improperly obtained promotional benefits; or
  • Report suspected unlawful activity to appropriate authorities

Nothing in this section permits Jashn to withhold a refund that is legally required to be provided.

19. Non-refundable Charges

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly stated otherwise, the following may be non-refundable where they have been clearly disclosed to the Customer:

  • Payment gateway or payment processing charges that are actually incurred and

non-refundable;

  • Platform or service fees expressly stated to be non-refundable
  • Third-party processing charges
  • Government taxes or statutory charges already remitted, where legally non-refundable; and
  • Other charges specifically identified as non-refundable before the transaction

Jashn shall not treat a charge as non-refundable merely because it is described as such if applicable law requires the charge to be refunded.

20. Refund Eligibility Disputes

If a Customer believes that a refund has not been correctly processed, the Customer may contact Jashn and provide, where applicable:

  • Booking ID
  • Ticket ID
  • Transaction ID
  • Payment details
  • Cancellation information
  • Relevant communication; and
  • Supporting documents

Jashn may review the transaction and communicate the outcome. For payments made directly to a Venue Partner or Vendor, the Customer should contact the respective Venue Partner or Vendor.

21. Transaction-specific Terms

Certain Venues or Events may have specific cancellation, refund, rescheduling, or modification conditions. Where such conditions are clearly disclosed to the Customer before the transaction, those terms shall apply to the relevant transaction to the extent permitted by applicable law. This Policy does not override a lawful, clearly disclosed Venue- or Event-specific cancellation policy.

22. No Guarantee of Alternative Arrangements

Where a Venue, Event, or Vendor booking is cancelled, Jashn may assist Customers in identifying alternatives where reasonably possible. However, Jashn does not guarantee:

  • Availability of an alternative Venue
  • Availability of another Event
  • Availability of another Vendor
  • Equivalent pricing
  • Equivalent services
  • Replacement accommodation; or
  • Compensation for additional expenses

23. Indirect and Consequential Losses

Unless required by applicable law, Jashn shall not ordinarily be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from cancellation or non-performance, including:

  • Travel expenses
  • Accommodation expenses
  • Transportation expenses
  • Lost income
  • Business losses
  • Event-related expenses
  • Emotional distress; or
  • Other consequential costs

This does not affect any refund entitlement expressly provided under this Policy or applicable law.

24. Changes to This Policy

Jashn may modify, update, replace, or revise this Policy from time to time. Updated versions may be published on the Platform and shall become effective from the stated effective date. The revised Policy shall generally apply to transactions made after its effective date unless otherwise required by applicable law.

25. Governing Law

This Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, courts located in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising in connection with this Policy.

26. Contact Information
